Under the willow Tonight….
There are nights when the silence feels heavier than the day ever did.
When you’ve said “I’m fine” so many times that the words have lost their meaning.
When strength feels more like an act than a feeling.
The laundry hums in the next room. The world keeps spinning.
And you’re just trying to convince yourself that small things still matter.
But you’re tired…. not just in your body, but in your bones.
And still, grace finds you here.
Not in your strength, but in your surrender.
Not in your pace, but in your pause.
Not when you finally have it all together, but right here, in the undone and unseen.
I’ve learned that God doesn’t always calm the storm right away.
Sometimes He sits beside us in the rain until we can see the rainbow for ourselves.
He doesn’t rush our healing. He holds it.
Tonight, I pray for you.
For the one who’s holding more than her heart can carry, for the one who smiles through silent pain, for the one who keeps giving even when no one gives back.
I pray you’ll feel seen, loved, and covered in peace. That your strength will rise quietly tomorrow, and that tonight, for just a moment, you’ll finally rest under the willow.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
